Qatar summers are brutal: temperatures rise above 40°C from June through August, which means keeping kids active, learning, and away from screens takes real planning. Luckily, there are organized summer camps all around Doha that will keep your child entertained. Whether you want sports-filled months for your kid, weeks of creative workshops, a proper nursery setting, or a summer camp for a child with special needs, there is something for every kid's preference.
Sports summer camps
Aspire Camp
The Aspire Foundation has been running its summer camp for nearly a decade, with over 100 children joining each year. The camp combines entertainment and learning through a range of sports, including football, basketball, volleyball, handball, self-defense, gymnastics, and rhythmic gymnastics, in addition to swimming classes and recreational games. Camp goers will also attend field visits to prominent destinations and landmarks in Doha and enjoy educational workshops on reading and drawing.
The camp is open to children aged 3–12. Parents can sign their kids up for a daily or weekly visit, or purchase a monthly or two-month pass. In 2025, the day pass was QAR 100, the weekly pass was QAR 375, and the one-month ticket was QAR 1,300.
Activities are divided into two sessions:
-
Morning: 8 AM–1 PM
-
Afternoon: 2 PM–7 PM
Parents are providing lunch boxes and are welcome to attend.
There are three locations available, all with designated nannies and educators: Al-Maamoura, Al-Rayyan, and Lusail. You can register via the website or by calling a specific branch number.
Evo Sports Qatar Camp
Running since 2019, the #WEAREEVO camps operate at two locations: SEK Qatar in West Bay and Doha College in Al Wajba. Kids cycle through football, basketball, swimming, gymnastics, tennis, fencing, and archery across the week, meaning a different sport every day. The variety keeps even the easily bored ones engaged. The camp is open to children aged 4 to 11.
For 2026, both venues run from July 5 to August 20, Sunday to Thursday, between 8 AM and 1 PM. You don’t have to commit to a full cycle — a weekly fee is QAR 750, and you can choose a specific week that works for you. Bookings are made via the Evo Sports website, and more information is available on their Instagram.
Creative summer camps
VCUarts Summer Program
Families looking for something more creatively stimulating than the standard multi-sport formula should check out VCUarts Qatar's summer program. It's run by the Department of Community and Continuing Education at Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts Qatar — a Qatar Foundation partner university, and it genuinely feels like a university experience scaled for younger students.
The program is open to kids aged 10 to 14 and is divided into two cycles. The first one is Creative Chronicles, running from July 18 to July 30. It’s created to promote character development, digital art, and visual storytelling, and expands into spatial thinking and immersive environment designs via VR tools. The price for this program is QAR 1,500.
The second cycle is Beyond the Layer: From Digital Models to Physical Artifacts. It’s a 3D modeling and printing course aimed at older children. It’s held between August 2 and 6 and costs QAR 1,000. If you want to enroll your kid in a full three-week program with both courses, you’ll get a QAR 300 discount.
Parents can register on the VCUarts website and find more info on their Instagram profile.
M7 Qatar x Liwan Workshops
M7 Qatar has become one of Doha's most exciting creative hubs, and its summer camp collaboration with Liwan Design Studios is one of the more original offerings in the city. Rather than cycling through activities, the camp walks children through the entire process of making a stop-motion film: from writing the story and building the set, to claymation, cutout animation, and final screening for family members on the last day. It's a real creative arc across a week.
Last year, the camp was held in two sessions: August 10–14 and August 17–21, and tickets were QAR 500. As soon as the 2026 cycle is announced, the tickets will be available on Qatar Creates.
KidzMondo Summer Adventures
Inside the Mall of Qatar's fully air-conditioned venue, kids aged 4 to 14 take on real-world roles — doctors, pilots, chefs, bankers, innovators. The summer camp format runs for nine weeks, each with a different theme to keep things fresh: innovation, green initiatives, training, sweets, and more.
The 2026 Summer Adventures Camp dates are to be announced. Last year, it ran from June 29 to August 28, Sunday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The latest updates are available on Instagram and the KidzMondo website.
Special needs camps
Step by Step Qatar Summer Program
Finding a summer camp for child with special needs in Qatar has historically meant very limited options. Step by Step Qatar is the most established center specifically filling that gap. Providing academic and therapeutic support for children and teens aged 4 to 14, their summer program is designed with small group settings, experienced specialist staff, and a learning-through-play approach.
In this month-long camp, children can participate in sensory activities, social interactions, cooking, arts and crafts, outdoor games, music to movement, and more. Lasting between June 30 and August 29, it’s available in two sessions:
-
Morning: 8 AM–12 PM
-
Afternoon: 1 PM–5 PM
You can reach out to Step by Step via the contact info available on the website for registrations and pricing info.
Mada Summer Camp
Mada Center of Excellence in Universal Access runs a dedicated special needs summer camp, focused on children and teens with disabilities. The 2026 dates and pricing will be announced, so follow updates in the summer camp section of the website.
The 2025 edition welcomed more than 40 participants across three separate sessions: boys (6–8 July), girls (13–15 July), and a group of deaf innovators (17–19 August). Activities covered programming, robotics and AI and were held in the Mada Lab, Al Nasr Tower B. The themes of the 2026 cycle will be announced in the upcoming months.
Nursery camps
Barara Nursery Summer Camp
Each summer, Barara Nursery runs a 9 or 10-week summer camp for the youngest kids at their Al Aziziya location. Last year, it lasted from June 22 to August 28.
Every week, the camp's theme changes, so children have different experiences throughout the summer. During the summer, participants can join water games, story times, treasure hunts, park time, cooking lessons, and theatre.
The camp is available for monthly and weekly fees, with discounts for employees of certain ministries. For more information, call Barara Nursery or reach out via Instagram.
Acorn's Nature Retreat
Children under 4 can spend every week of their summer doing a different activity at the Acorn Nursery. Acorn’s Nature Retreat runs from late June through August, giving kids the chance to step outside the classroom and spend time in nature. Arts and crafts, music classes, puppeteering, and building days are just some of the activities organized in the camp.
2026 themes and prices have not been announced. Last year, a day at the camp was QAR 200, while a weekly pass was QAR 900. For more information, contact Acorn via Instagram or the numbers listed on their website.
Petits Pas Nursery Bootcamp
Kids between 2 months and 4 years old can enjoy an activity-filled three-month bootcamp at Petits Pas Nursery. Each week, camp coordinators will combine fun and learning through a set of bootcamp challenges, cooking and creative arts classes, theater and role-play, lab experiments, and water time.
Booking is flexible — children can join for a whole month or choose a week they want to participate in. You can register and find more info on pricing on their Instagram page.
