If you've ever visited a friend in Doha and ended up spending half your trip at Place Vendôme, you're not alone. Qatar has quietly built one of the most concentrated luxury retail landscapes in the region — flagship-level stores, full brand collections, and no value-added tax. 

Whether you're visiting, newly arrived as an expat, or a long-time Doha resident who hasn't fully mapped the luxury shopping landscape here, this guide covers where to find the major designer houses and what to expect.

Place Vendôme Mall

If you're serious about luxury shopping in Qatar, Place Vendôme is where you start. Located in Lusail — about 20 minutes from central Doha — the mall is home to the largest concentration of designer boutiques in the country, and some of the biggest individual brand stores in the entire Middle East.

Luis Vuitton's largest Middle East boutique is at Place Vendôme. The two-floor store combines regional-inspired interiors with the brand's full collection, plus a selection of exclusive pieces available only in-store. The store also features private, dedicated spaces for corporate meetings or events. Dior Qatar boutique here is also one of the largest in the region, covering not just its fashion line but also its high-end home collection. Loewe has a full-offer boutique at Place Vendôme, carrying womenswear, menswear, bags, shoes, and jewelry. Balenciaga is on the ground floor.

Other names at Place Vendôme include Chanel Qatar, Hermès, Prada, Christian Louboutin, Gucci, Valentino, Fendi, Givenchy, Saint Laurent, Celine, Bottega Veneta, Loro Piana, Chloé, and Versace. That's essentially the full map of European luxury fashion under one roof, with proper flagship-level stores rather than concessions.

Beyond fashion, Place Vendôme also houses dedicated jewelry and watch boutiques, including Bvlgari for fine Italian pieces, as well as jewelry lines from Dior and Louis Vuitton in their own stores.

Villagio Mall

Villagio Mall in Al Waab has a Venetian-inspired design with gondola rides on a Grand Canal and houses luxury labels including Gucci and Louis Vuitton. Chanel and Dior also have a presence here. It also hosts a Baume & Mercier boutique, one of Switzerland's best-known luxury watchmakers. 

Hamad International Airport

Louis Vuitton has a boutique at Hamad International Airport in the South Node Plaza — its third location in Qatar — stocking the full portfolio, including leather goods, ready-to-wear, watches, jewelry, accessories, fragrances, and shoes for men and women. The airport's duty-free area features more than 90 additional luxury concept shops along with fine dining. If you're transiting or flying out, it's worth factoring in — especially for items you plan to take home anyway.

Other locations

Louis Vuitton has a fifth location inside Doha Printemps. Dior has a fragrance and beauty store at the Mall of Qatar, in addition to its Villagio and Place Vendôme boutiques.

Salam Stores

Founded in 1952, Salam Stores is one of the GCC's leading fashion and lifestyle retailers, with its flagship at The Gate Mall. With a portfolio of over 300 designer brands across fashion and lifestyle, it has built its identity as a homegrown Qatari destination for luxury shopping — and one of the few places in Doha where you can move between fashion, accessories, and technology in a single store.

Blue Salon

Established in 1981 and owned by Abu Issa Holding, Blue Salon is Qatar's first luxury department store, with its flagship on Suhaim Bin Hamad Street in Al Sadd. It specializes in fashion, watches, jewelry, perfumes, cosmetics, home décor, and travel gear. Specifically for watches, it carries niche Swiss brands not available elsewhere in Doha, such as URWERK, BOVET, and Zenith.

Galeries Lafayette Doha

Galeries Lafayette sits within Katara Cultural Village, between West Bay and The Pearl. The store covers 14,500 sqm across three floors with fashion, accessories, beauty, and fragrance. It feels more like a cultural visit than a shopping errand, thanks to its setting with Katara's architecture and outdoor cooling system. The beauty department stocks exclusive brands not available elsewhere in Qatar, alongside makeup from Chanel, YSL, and Guerlain, as well as niche fragrance houses including Byredo, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Parfums de Marly, Amouage, and Nishane.

Printemps Doha

Doha Printemps at Doha Oasis is the largest luxury department store in the Middle East. The feel is more contemporary — a modern building within walking distance of Msheireb Downtown Doha rather than set within a cultural village. The beauty and wellness area spans 2,600 sqm with over 250 brands. Beyond beauty, it covers fashion, home design, and technology across multiple floors. If you want to cover several categories in a single visit without having to drive to Lusail, this is the practical choice. 

If Louis Vuitton and Dior cover the global names, Doha also has a quieter, design-forward side worth knowing about — especially if you're after something with more story behind it.

M7 and Studio 7

M7, Qatar Museums' fashion and design hub in Msheireb Downtown Doha, is the center of the city's emerging design scene. Inside, the concept store Studio 7 stocks fashion, homeware, and lifestyle pieces from designers across Qatar and the wider MENA region, with limited-edition pieces you won't find anywhere else in the city. The space also runs regular pop-ups featuring Qatar-based labels, alongside exhibitions that have previously included Dior and Valentino archives.

Qatari and regional designers

Wadha Al Hajri is among Qatar's best-known names internationally — her label WADHA blends Islamic art-inspired geometric embroidery with minimalist tailoring, and she has her own showroom, House of Wadha, in Msheireb, alongside fragrance and bag lines under the same name. Noof Al Mulla's label LIN, known for flowing silhouettes in linen and silk, recently made its North American debut at Fashion Art Toronto in 2026, alongside fellow Qatar-based designers Samah Sulyman of Jeu Due Denim and Rayan Alami of Authentic Roz. For jewelry with a distinctly local identity, Nada Al-Sulaiti draws on Qatar's architecture and cultural motifs.

Culture-blending and contemporary labels

Omni the Label, founded by a European expat who has lived in Qatar for over two decades, combines Arabic calligraphy embroidery with European tailoring — a popular choice among expats looking for something that feels locally rooted. The brand has shown at Paris Fashion Week and been featured in British Vogue.

For premium sportswear, Stone Island opened its first Middle East airport pop-up at Hamad International Airport in November 2025, in Concourse B alongside Chloé, Fendi, and Valentino.

Al Hazm Mall

For a different kind of luxury experience, Al Hazm Mall in Al Markhiya is worth the detour. Built from imported Tuscan marble and featuring a central courtyard of centuries-old olive trees, it doesn't host international flagships like Louis Vuitton or Gucci. Instead, it's built around high-end multi-brand boutiques: Style de Vie for evening wear and haute couture, Razza for men's luxury fashion, Palazzo Nero for abayas and kaftans, and Ardora for leather goods.

Doha is also home to Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA), a non-profit organization that provides guidance, mentorship, and financial support to emerging designers from across the MENA region. It was launched in 2018 under the patronage and presence of FTA's Honorary Chair, HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, and Co-chairs, HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani and Tania Fares. Every year, six designers are selected across six different design categories. FTA has strengthened Qatar's fashion ecosystem and attracted international fashion leaders to Qatar. Its presence has created more opportunities for Qatar-based designers.
