School season is approaching, and you need to buy all supplies and get your child ready for school by August 31st. Luckily, back-to-school shopping in Qatar does not need to be hectic or expensive. Everything from stationery to electronics and clothing can be found at discounts, but only if you know where to look. We’re sharing the list of best stores and deals for 2025, along with some tips on making this process more organized. 

Alif 

Alif is a one-stop place for knowledge and lifestyle products — from books and office supplies to electronics. Their shop spans 4,000 square meters and features a cultural center with creative workshops, providing entertainment for your kids while you shop. Aside from a store in Al Dafna, you can do your shopping online.

Al Rawnaq 

Al Rawnaq has a range of affordable school-related items, books, learning toys, and art supplies. They offer promotions throughout the year and have multiple branches in the city, including Old Airport, Royal Plaza Mall, and QMall.

Borders

Borders is a bookstore limited range of office supplies, but it’s a great place to get learning materials for your kids. The store has locations throughout Doha, with the largest being in the Landmark Mall and Doha Festival City.

Fnac

It doesn’t matter whether you need a new laptop or tablet or a pair of new headphones — you can find every piece of tech you need for school in Fnac. The store also offers school supplies, but they are slightly more expensive than those found in the other outlets we mentioned. 

Fnac has two locations in Doha: one at Lagoona Mall and the other at i Festival City. You can also shop online and get 10% off your first order.

6th Street is the best place for online back-to-school shopping. Finding good back-to-school shopping deals in Doha is only half of the job. To avoid wasting money and getting overwhelmed, thorough preparation is key. Here’s how to make this process less tiring.

Check your inventory

You may already have many of the supplies in your inventory. Go through all the drawers, shelves, and bags to create a list of the items you have. 

Make a list

It’s easy to get carried away with all the back-to-school shopping deals and buy things you don’t actually need. Start by making a list of all the essentials and try to find discounts for those items. 

You can also organize your shopping in a spreadsheet. This will allow you to track your progress and ensure that you don't forget anything important.

If you get tired and overwhelmed easily, you can start with online shopping. The stores you’ll find on our list have easy-to-navigate e-shops and apps, which speed up the process. 

Then, find all the things you weren’t able to get online in one physical store that has the best deals for those items. 

Start early

Great deals aren’t just available in the school season. In fact, the stores on this list have great summer sales for clothing, tech, and supplies. Therefore, you can start your back-to-school shopping as early as June. Then, when late August comes, you won’t be overwhelmed with the number of items you have to buy. Moreover, you’ll also avoid the aggravation of the crammed outlets and centers.

Look for bundles

Stores such as Borders and Jarir usually have deals where you get a mix of five, six, or more items at a discounted price. These are called “bundle deals” or “buy one, get one free” offers. For instance, if you are buying one backpack for QAR 149, a bundle deal like buying two will cost you QAR 220, saving you QAR 78. This is great if you’re buying for more than one kid, or if you want to have backups.
