Trying to get a taxi from the airport, but the public Wi-Fi is too slow? This is where an electronic SIM kicks in.
eSIM is a digital version of the traditional SIM card. While the regular ones are tied to national telecommunication providers, an eSIM connects you to networks from all over the world, providing a stable internet connection. To help you find a good one, we prepared a list of the most popular providers, the plans they offer, and their pricing.
About Qatar eSIM
eSIMs are available on almost all mobile devices of the newer generation. But, just to be sure, check your phone’s compatibility with the virtual card technology. Qatar has two major mobile network operators: Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar. This means that, once you purchase an eSIM, you’ll be using one of these operators.
Each provider from our list has step-by-step compatibility checks and activation instructions on their websites and apps. But, in general, activating a virtual card requires you to download an app from the eSIM provider, choose a plan, and turn the card on in your phone settings.
